I think its ok. Its not the worst. But its the skill shit, the flare, and the fluff that they always market that piss me off when real shit needs to be fixed.
But for me, a lot of major issues FIFA 12 had are still in FIFA 13. Defensive AI and movement physics are still quite shit. Defense still feels as just a bunch of dudes, no real team defense. Defense should be played as a unit. But too easily are passes made directly to strikers, and there is no mid field help, no real defensive shape, and the defensive players just get out of position so fuckin easily. The mid field is always on the wrong side of the ball.
Also, positional play as a whole is fucking awful. Take your FB on a run up the wing, and who goes to cover for him? Nobody. Some may call it a small problem, but when you combine that with the cokehead pace of FIFA, then you have a 4 on 3 counter attack in less than 3 seconds.
And that leads me to the pace as a whole. Ping ping ping ping ping, goal. They actually improved offensive AI, credit where credit is due. But that with some new passing physics just makes everything so frantic. People thought the pace of FIFA 12 was bad. They have accidentally made it worse.
Do me a favor, the 2nd demo for PES came out a week ago. In terms of gameplay, passing, and pace of the game as a whole, try that and tell me you dont see a noticeable difference.
