Why is this channel so hard for cable companies (Comcast) to offer? I get 100 worthless QVC channels in HD but the one channel I want (almost need) in HD gets passed by. Fucking Comcast.

So I have to choose between slow ass, expensive, shitty Uverse internet (which sucks for gaming) and shitty Uverse TV but I get Fox Soccer in pixelated HD and possibly Fox Soccer Plus, as well. Or fast and reliable Comcast internet and good HD TV with the privilege of paying extra for Fox Soccer and GolTV in SD and no option for Fox Soccer Plus at all.

My other cable provider in the area is WOW (Wide Open West) and they dropped FSC in 2009. Awesome. I can't get Direct TV or Dish because I have a condo facing North. Awesome.

Why is Fox Soccer HD so hard for Comcast to roll out? These guys are punk bitches.
 
Would be nice to get fox soccer hd on comcast but im fine as long as i have fox soccer. Now if they took that away i would :rage:
 
I guess I have something to look forward to... in 2015 possibly? Hey, I think Comcast Chicago is getting some more shopping channels on April 3rd, though. Baby steps Comcast. Baby steps.
 
This shit has been going on since they went live with FSHD, they even had an HD watermark on the screen despite no one having it. By far the worst aspect is how the SD quality had decreased since this has happened. It was never a good picture, but it's slowly been getting worse, and I noticed last time I was home it was at its lowest point. By the time Comcast gets this channel I'll be living in England anyway.
 
I have U-Verse, and I have FSC, FSC+, and Gol TV. The 2 Fox Soccer channels are in crystal clear HD for me. Gol TV says HD, but its not true. This season is the 1st out of the 3 years that FSC is in TRUE HD.

As for Comcast, my cousin in Elmhurst has it, and its slow as fuck compared to my U-Verse. It was bad. :dunno:

UVerse connections are spotty. I was reading about this at some blog that was written with the sole purpose of tracking UVerse vs it's competition. ATT likes to blur the details of their technology and throw around words and phrases that make it sound like it's 100% fiber optics connection to your house. It's not. It's more like fiber optics 80% to your house and copper lines the remaining 20%. Basically, your UVerse connection depends on how far away your home is from a "VRAD". The VRAD is where the fiber optics end and the copper lines start. If you are too far from the VRAD, you either get shit service or no service at all. It's a really hack ass infrastructure that ATT has no desire to make better. This convoluted infrastructure can lead to pixelated images and overall shitty quality HD compared to cable service.

Further, UVerse TV connections share the same connection as the internet. So if you're watching TV on UVerse, it slows your internet connection to free up bandwidth for TV. How shitty is that? So if I want to play on my laptop while my GF watches some faggy vampire show, my internet connection slows to a crawl.

And all of this comes with the caveat that you're paying about the same for UVerse as Comcast (and locked into a 2 year agreement, too). Fox Soccer HD would be nice, but not like that.

While not as revolting as all of the Home Shopping Networks I have available to me in HD, this still pisses me off. I think Comcast is seriously trolling soccer fans at this point.
