Frye Signs With Suns

Free-agent forward Channing Frye agreed to terms with the Phoenix Suns on Friday, a source close to the process told ESPN.com.

Frye, who was with the Portland Trail Blazers the past two seasons, is believed to have signed a two-year, $3.8 million deal for the team's biannual extension and will have an option on his second year of the contract, a league source told ESPN.com.

The Cleveland Cavaliers were reportedly interested in signing Frye with the remainder of their mid-level exception, but the 2005 first-round pick of the New York Knicks decided to travel south to Phoenix.

Frye for that type of money? That is perfect. At worst, he is a low paid bench player who puts in a few minutes a night. He's still young and has some upside to him. I like it.

Been talks of Tyson Chandler for Ben Wallace trade. The Suns are also looking to move Richardson for a big if the Chandler trade doesn't work out. Its also expected the Palv will be cut before the season starts.

If the trade goes through :

Nash//Dragic
Richardson//Barbosa//Tucker
Hill//Dudley//Clark
Amare//Frye//Clark
Chandler//Lopez

That would be a pretty solid line-up if Amare and Chandler can stay healthy.

Even though I am fairly certain the Suns will make a move for another big, here is how the line-up would look without a trade :

Richardson//Barbosa
Hill//Dudley//Clark
Frye//Clark//Amundson

Yeah I put Clark in as the third reserve at SF and PF. He isn't really proven yet and with the signing of Frye, I can't see him bumping him out of the rotation immediately. You can make a case for him to play SF behind Hill but Dudley played great for us at the end of last season and I have only heard Suns coaches talk positive things about him and this upcoming season.

If any oen you actually think the Cavs arent one of the ebst teams then you should really check into reality. They won a league high 66 gaems without a real post presence. Now they have Shaq they cna get even better.

Chandler isnt coming to Phoenix.
The trainers have taken a lot at him and they think hes damaged goods.
The Suns can get him anytime they want but they won't.
As for the Suns bench. It sucks now but its full of young talent that could go either way.

Literally saw it on my local television recently that the Chandler trade was still up in the air. You may be right though, we are able to get him at anytime.
