Ok, wanting to get this game. And soon. Here's the deal. Heard there are still some issues post patch.
Is this game worth getting if I'm just strictly a franchise gamer? I know Knights Rosters are good so I would most likely use those.
As a franchise gamer someone give me a run down of the pros and cons. I could give two shits about online play.

its a tough question to answer only because franchise people expect different things from the chise mode. I love it. I think its a must buy game for franchise.
the things i dont like are the historical glitch. Knights roster wont resolve this, but his ratings adjustments are excellent and fix the lineup logic to keep players hitting in the right place. Your other roster option is to DL from SCEA and edit the players names yourself. This will give you the historical stats, but unless you adjust the ratings yourself, u will see guys like Holiday leading off.
one other thing that i dont know they fixed is the DL issue. u place a guy on the DL and he still counts towards your roster....meaning u cant sign another player to replace him. This is really bad if you get a bunch of guys on the DL
the menu navigation is a bit un-user friendly. especially in the manage roster screen....they break it down by position and ALL players....but it would have been nice to see it broken down by MLB, AAA, AA line ups and rotations for call ups and send downs. You can still see those views if you goto lineup and rotations, but u cant make call ups from that menu option
there is nothing else that i dont like or think is a con......none of the cons will matter when u play the games though. Superb gameplay. Nothing else compares to the realistic gameplay u get from the CPU. I played about 40 games in 2 dfifferent chises and i am amazed at how sim and challenging the cpu is. Better then last year.
In my 2nd chise i am currently 8-10 as the Tribe. BA .250 and ERA 4.50. Its not like last year where i felt i could always win against the cpu. This year (on All Star) i am busting my ass fighting for wins. My losses are upsetting....but i am not getting cheesed by the cpu. i feel like its an honest loss. Its just such a kick ass game to play
one pro is the custom music. u can include 140 of your own songs in the game. then take those 140 and make 3 "marks" on each song. this gives u 420 tracks to add to player walk ups, HR, RP entering the game music.
Nothing better then being at home and hear War Ensemble when Hafner comes to the plate. Or hearing ARE YOU READY from Korn's Blind (live at woodstock) when Sizemore comes up. Shit like that just adds to the experience.
see your asking the wrong question.....its not why should i buy this game.....its why shouldnt i buy this game.....if u know what i mean. If your a BB fan i dont see how you could be disappointed by this one
