The St. Petersburg Times reports that Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris admitted on Monday that he may have abandoned the running game too early in his Week 1 loss to the Lions after going with a two-minute offense to start the second half while trailing by only one touchdown. "We have a weapon in Blount, we want to be able to run the ball with him,'' Morris said Monday. "Maybe as a coach, I went too fast, I went too early to the two-minute offense. But I wanted to get something going, get something generated, get (quarterback Josh Freeman) some confidence and get all those guys going. And it worked to the standpoint that we were able to get back into the game. But we didn't have to do it like that. Maybe we went to it too early. That's something for me to second-guess, that's something for me to improve, that's something for me to get better at.''

I still don't think that would've mattered against the Detroit dline.
