Interesting thing is, these are all listed for PS3 and nothing for PS4. That would be a huge fail.
 
Too early to make any judgements. If it were going to be a fall 2013 release, they'd be pimping the game out now.

As much as I absolutely hated that bullshit, I'm really hoping for it this time around. Releasing the full GT6 on current-gen would be a real mistake imo.
 
I think I am done with this series to be honest. If it is on PS3....ugh. It is hard for me to resist any racing game but this game is not that great for warranting 1 game every 6 years. TBH....release a fucking VITA version. I'd buy that.

Is it true that GT5 is the best selling PS3 game?

I'm not so sure. The install base on the PS3 is huge and you know Polyphony has been working on this well before PS4 dev kits were available because they are slow as fuck. Plus GT5 sold extremely well. Why take the chance of it selling a portion of the sales on a PS4 which will have a fraction of the install base?

GT6 might be the God of War 2 of this generation. And IIRC GoW2 sold like gang busters on PS2 when the PS3 was already out.

Either way, this game will outsell Drive Club easily. I just think it would be a better idea to release this say fall of '14 on the PS4 instead. With these sim-racers, you're looking at games that hold up and have playability for years. If I'm a big GT fanboy, I don't want to be playing my main racing sim on my PS3 in 2015.
 
agreed to maximize sales...release it on the PS3. Who the fuck knows when we will ever see a PS4 release of this game. This has lost its luster because it just doesn't stick out as much as it used to. There are other racing games out there that look almost as good and come out every 2-3 years.

Going into from spring to next year you will have Grid 2, Drive club, Project Cars, probably new entries of Forza, Dirt, NFS and F1. GT 1-3 were awesome on the PS1 and PS2 because there were not any games that came close to visual fidelity or gameplay. Now it is just another racing/driving game that comes out once every 5-6 years.
 
The sucker I am for racing games...if this game was a launch game for PS4...I would probably be pre ordering everything.

Well, again, it is Polyphony. It probably won't get release until 2014 at the earliest. I'm sure it will get delayed several times so they can make sure all of the cup holders look exactly right and the windshield wipers move at the exact correct speed.
 
I will buy another PS3 to play it. I like Forza better in almost all areas, but they murdered the nurburgring which is my favorite track.

On GT5 it was amazing and I miss it.
