[ALL] Grand Theft Auto V: Stock Market Thread (Protfolios, Manipulation, and Trends)

So, probably the coolest thing in GTAV that I've seen is the Stock Market, centered around competitive manipulation of companies through your game play. For example, buying stock in an auto manufacturer, and destroying their rival's dealerships will net you extensive gains. This thread will focus on your experiences, both in SP and MP with the Stock Market. Any mission related tips should be put in spoilers, as per usual.

Will post my stocks when I get home. Haven't really gone deep into it but I dumped a lot of money into the cluck chicken fast food place since it was down to something like $4/share. I will wreak havoc on other fast food places tonight!

I always find myself checking my phone to see my portfolio. Super addicting.

STORY SPOILER:

 

When Franklin starts doing jobs for Lester, he'll tell you about certain stocks that'll go up once you finish your mission.

Debonaire Cigarettes will skyrocket...

And if you can get the BAWSAQ site working in-game, invest in the pharma company before you finish the related Lester mission.

Any Bars you decide to purchase as Property will ask you to go on booze runs from time-to-time so if you put cash in alcohol-related stocks, you should see something come of it.

Also, anything to do with vehicle or personal insurance will net you a tidy sum if you go on killing sprees a lot, in-game.

And the BAWSAQ gives you the option to put in on Ammu-nation stock...

You know what to do.

Lester's missions early in the game can net you some real profits. He'll tell you which stocks to invest in prior to doing the mission. Go ahead and put whatever you have into them and cash out after the mission is over. I don't know how long the increase lasts? Or, if it can grow over time. I just went ahead and seen that the stock was up and sold it shortly after completing the missions.

After two days, had a 5.64% return on Fleeca, but judging by their trends, (very high, very low), I'm going to wait and see what affect the weekend has on these fluctuations.

In game the stocks seem to update every few seconds. I also wondered if trading stopped at a certain period like it does on Wall Street when it closes? I finally got BAWSAQ to work for me. But, damn is stock on there much more expensive. Couple of thousand of dollars just to purchase a single share. Gonna have to get my paper up if I want to make any money online.
