i hear what your saying larry and you make a good point but the guru has already started and to throw in something like that would complicate the shit outta things. going through and tallying 30 people votes is a pain in the nuts as is. i started the guru as a simple voting/leaderboard system just to have a little fun and keep things interesting so unless someone comes up with something hella good, or is willing to help me out im gonna keep it as is

LOL. Most of you don't give JMMA shows a chance to begin with unless Aoki, Kawajiri, Sakuraba or Minowaman are on the card, so how else are you going to know about the other fighters? It's not like I'm posting DEEP or Shooto cards for fucks sake. It's DREAM and Sengoku, both are on HDNet and both are the two biggest JMMA organizations.

If you don't know or are unwilling to do the research, simply don't vote on them. But don't penalize those who care about JMMA.

Or just the call the contest The Real ZUFFA Guru like it should be and leave it at that.

I say just do SF/UFC and any other major card that might come up. No extra points, keep it simple.

The single biggest thing we need to do is make sure the polls close at the time of the event. There are always votes coming in after the fact.

What kind of guru status is it when you're only considering one or two promotions? If the contest was about the NBA, would you call such a contest legit if you were only going to count the games in the Eastern Conference? Of course not.

And besides, most of you bastards who did vote on the JMMA events when they were Guru-eligible just piggybacked off my picks in the first place, so what's the big deal? :dontknow:

I am not the culprit of anything.. I dont even know how to view the results of voting before voting. I just look at a dudes record.. look at who hes beaten.. see if hes hot.. and go from there. I do the research but would prefer not to.

Yea I could agree with adding the Dream cards. I have no issues picking fights I have no idea about, I just do a little research and look at records and what not lol.

Some Bellator events are solid, but some come in with guys who havent fought on any cards, so I can see why some fights should be left off, put there title fights, tournament finals and some other fights should be picked

Sengoku is tough sometimes for most people, I think certain fights should be picked, but sometimes they dont run shows forvever

Than shows like this War on the mainland, if you dont know those guys than you have no business being in the gugu, the next Shark Fights is very solid also
