I find it baffling too. The Smiths are definitely a top 15 band for me. When I go full album route, Strangeways is always first, followed by Queen is Dead.

Music is a pretty subjective topic. Your top 20 Smiths song list could change weekly. Music, in my opinion, is more emotional than logical.
