The GameStop Expo was held yesterday in San Antonio and VSN was able to attend thanks to a VIP pass provided by Ronnie from 2KSports. This was the first year that GameStop had opened the event to the public as it had been only for their regional managers in the past. Based on the thousands of people lined up for upwards of 2 hours prior to the event opening, I would say that it was a huge success. I was also able to make some good contacts with Treyarch and 2KSports along with the people I knew would already be there from EA.
All of the major game publishing companies had a presence at the event along with many smaller ones. The only areas where I thought it could be better were the lack of true lines for VIP access that had been promised prior and the limited amount of time (5 hours) to try and see everything in a 200,00 square foot convention center.
The highlight of the day was getting to play Black Ops II multiplayer for about 20 minutes. I had to wait in line for over 90 minutes and Treyarch had people stationed all around the demo units to make sure that no pictures or video were taken of the screens. I thought the demo played extremely well save for one crash towards the end of my time with the game but that could also just as easily been the 360 unit as much as the game itself.

EA had a major presence there for FIFA, Madden, Sim City, Medal of Honor and Crysis.
Activision/Treyarch was pulling out all of the stops. Just hate there wasn't an opportunity for more pictures or video.

Got a chance to play NBA 2K13 for a few moments with the Dream Team (Pippen hasn't been added back in yet) and was very impressed.
ZFarls and Sgibs7 (authors of the Madden Strategy Guide) were at the Prima Booth taking on all challenges in Madden '13. They went 51-0 during the event.
