How do you deal with this?

In a lot of online games the other guy lines up in an onside kick formation and catches me in the regular return...sometimes I can't call a timeout....I don't know why. Then if I do switch he changes to regular KO.
bottom line:

1. How do I change my return team from reg. return to onside return.

You select onside kick return?

2. How do I go from onside return to regular.

Square, then Square.

3. How do I change my KO team from regular to onside kick.

Square, then L1

4. Why is it I can't call timeout of get my team to switch sometimes...it's like the other guy froze my team and I can't adjust to what he's doing (btw I do have time outs available, it's not that I'm out of time outs).

If they try to quick kick the onside kick that could be a possibility. I've seen a lot of situations where you have a timeout and try hitting select and there's a delay and you have to press start, then select timeout.

On #1 i mean I'm on regular return, the guy comes out in the onside formation to kick and I want to switch.

just stay in the onsides kickreturn formation, you can get a decent return since he has his hands team on the field. return
