Interesting, why do you believe he doesn't fall in the Top 5?

I am a Bear fan and think he's the best of all-time. It's difficult to rank the Top 5 because they are all great. But I would give Favre the #1 nod.

There's no way Marino or Young should be ahead of him.. Irregardless of Favre winning the SB this year. Favre has all of Marinos old records + the ring and Young, while great, doesn't have the whole body of work Favre does IMO.
 
Favre has all those records because he was too selfish to sit games he had no business playing in. Seriously, how much do you have to hate your backup to play with a broken finger on your throwing hand?

The fact that he got there with the average team around him was a miracle. You can only do so much for your team with the team you have.

I have seen Favre lose way to many critical games making stupid mistakes that I just can't put him in the top 5. Every quarterback makes dumb mistakes but his mistakes are HUGE and are in HUGE moments in games.

Per example (As i'm an Eagles fan) in overtime of the 4th and 26 game he throws on 2nd down a completely retarded 60 yard bomb down the field and not 1 reciever was within 10 yards of the ball.

As a result, Dawkins easily picked it off and ran into fieldgoal range. It seems that he's getting better as he's getting older with limiting the mistakes but right now when I think of Favre I think of a high risk-high reward type of guy.

Top 10? Yes. Fringe. Around the 8-12 range, probably around the 8-10 range. If you were a Packers fan (Or, Vikings fan right now) you'd probably say top 5.

Yeah, after the game last night they said Sanchez already has as many career playoff victories as Namath? That's staggering, although Namath didn't really have playoffs at one point in his career, you'd still think he'd have more than 2 career wins.

Also tough to say he's better than Favre when he threw for more TD's than INT's in his career when you had a guy like Unitas lighting up the NFL at the same time using the same rules.

Namath is overrated as hell.

He also has a sub .500 career record as a starter...
