Troy. Hes more sound against the run, is great in man to man against t.es, and is all over the ball.
 
Take into account that Ed Reed played his first 2 seasons at SS.

But i'm obviously taking Reed, he's my favorite player ever.

Easy, the gut scores points, plays on special teams and gets tons of picks, the guy forces fumbles with big hits and is always around the ball, i know troy has better tackling but id take a ball hawk as your linebackers should make the tackles

although troy is a close second due to his ability to be everywhere

No in all seriousness, it depends on the guys who are around them. I think both fit their teams perfectly but if I were to have to take one to start a team around then I'd have to go with Troy.
 
Reed is more than just a safety. I think, IMO, that Troy is a linebacker gifted with speed and pass recognition well enough to play safety.

Reed is an absolute beast against the pass and can shut down his entire side of the field. He can also return the ball like no other.
