Is it just me or has MLB Network really gone down hill?

I can remember a few years ago, when MLB Network started out, it was the TITS. It was far superior to ESPN when it comes to summer sports tv. You'd get more highlights, better analysts, and no stupid shit like the WNBA and the other crap you see on sportscenter. But recently I've tried making MLB Network my morning tv program over breakfast and it hasn't exactly been what I remember.

Maybe it's just their Hotstove program, which is shit. Mainly because Harold Reynolds and Mitch Williams are both mind numbingly retarded. Every time I watch the show one of these two retards have me contemplating switching over to ESPN's coverage of woman's college basketball within two minutes from when I turn the tv on. For example, this morning they were talking about the b.s. trade rumor that had the Brewers sending Prince Fielder to the Dodgers for Loney and Broxton. Obviously this would be a terrible trade for the Brewers. However, the Hotstove's two turd bag analysts both agreed, "This would be a great trade for the Brewers, because they need a closer!" :hammer: John Axford's name was honestly never mentioned.

Sorry, just had to rant.

In season I think they're fantastic, haven't caught too much since. I don't know how they fill an entire hour with just hot stove talk, although I guess there's a little more content with the winter meetings.

If I was watching, I'd want more baseball insiders (Rosenthal, etc) discussing rumors than hearing color guy's opinions.

You pretty much answered your own question.

Their main draw is their highlights and analysis and the MLB tonight with the live look-ins and all that. All of that, obviously, is in-season.

There's really not much they can do in the offseason other than report on rumors and talk about signings and stuff.

Any network really in the offseason stinks compared to in-season, cause there's just nothing to report on.

They've only been around for two years and like mentioned above, their in-season coverage is second to none.

I haven't watched them since the playoffs, so I can't say how bad their hot stove stuff is.

Yeah I don't watch it during the off-season, but it's still the absolute shit during the season.

I saw the Hot Stove today and saw they now have the guy that was on Best Damn Sports Show....really don't like him. They also hired a couple people that used to work for ESPN, maybe that is why you are finding it stupid to watch.
