My current PC is a bit on the fritz and looking to upgrade. Here is what I am thinking:

I already have the graphics card, so that isn't a big deal. Under $1000 for a rig that should last me a long time. Just need to get an OS for it and should be good to go. Good? Bad? Areas of concern?
 
  • Cooler - Are you planning on overclocking??? If not then I see no need for the Cooler.
  • MB - If you aren't going SLI or overclocking I feel like you are overspending on the MB
  • Case - Full Tower??? Are you planning on liquid cooling or triple SLI??? Mid towers offer plenty of room.
  • PSU - 750W Power Supply??? The only reason you need that is if you are going SLI.
  • RAM - any reason you are need for 16GB of RAM. You can always upgrade at a later time. 8 GB is the sweet spot for gaming now.
  • SSD - The Samsung Pro Series SSD is an awesome Drive but Pricey. A Samsung EVO 250 GB can dip below $150 sometimes.


Any reason for the AMD CPU vs the Intel?
 
AMD normally has a slightly cheaper cost when you look at MB and chipset with comparable performance. Not sold either way, but just thinking cost. Will revise the build now with what you brought up.
 
Ok, changed it around slightly. Switched to an Intel processor since I changed motherboards. I have a 600w power supply already, so I'm wondering if I can keep it with my card or will need to upgrade to a 700+.

That second list is basically my PC. I also have the same cooler, I haven't OC'd yet but haven't found a reason to really. I start a game, set everything to max settings and go.

I'd get another hard drive though (in addition to the SSD that is). I'm big into flight simulators, so I have my OS on my SSD and my flight sims. Everything else goes on a 1TB HDD.

You will have no regrets with that setup.
 
If you wanted to save a little bit (if price really matters then no biggY, but) I just recently built a rig for 620 bucks. I don't know if all the same things are on sale, but its worth a try. I'm running BF4 at 50+ FPS on Ultra/Maxxed out no problem. Runs fantastic.
