Packers C Jeff Saturday announced his retirement from the NFL.

"We'll finish it with sunsets in Hawaii and call it a much better career than I would have anticipated," said Saturday, a former undrafted free agent out of North Carolina. Saturday, 37, ends a 14-year career, 13 of which were spent with the Colts. Saturday made six Pro Bowl trips and was a two-time first-team All-Pro selection. He probably isn't a realistic Hall of Fame candidate, but he certainly deserves a spot in the Colts' Ring of Honor.

We're rebuilding, if you check out our saleries, no one is making more than 4 million a year. Except for Freeney, but he's going to be gone this year.

Oh, and I believe he was a free agent.. but I do not know for sure.

Saturday should have retired if that was the case. Though you can't argue with going with one more time to try and win another Super Bowl, even though he was eventually replaced in the lineup.
 
Very sad to see him go, but it's certainly time. Would have liked to see him sign a one-week contract with Indy or something like that before he called it quits though...
 
He said on local radio he would welcome the opportunity to sign a one day contract with the Colts to retire. Irsay offered Jeff a front office job...he said he wanted to give it another go. He'll be working for Indy in two years or less.

Long live Jeff.
 
Great center at calling out assignments and keeping track of all the shit Manning barks out at the line. No center in history has had to deal with more words numbers and call outs at the LOS then that guy.
