Did not think Jason Smith would bust that bad. Usually linemen are the safest pick at the top, and at worst, you have a league-average starter.
I saw somewhere he was the Rams 2nd best OL last year lol...not saying much but like I said, anything is better than Wayne F. Hunter

Only reason the Jets didn't cut bait with Hunter was the fact his money was guaranteed, but they take on Smith who's owed a bit more money.
If Smith plays in enough games, his $11 million roster bonus next year is voided. If he doesn't play in enough games, he'll be cut anyway.

Hunter may not make the Rams roster, either. Smith was as good as gone and the Rams were looking for somebody to take him and his contract off their hands.
my quote wasn't much of a quote, just something I heard because I know the rams OL was terrible.
But I still maintain that he can be something more than Hunter, who's so awful...and he may make the roster because Brian S. is the OC and it seems the Rams are in love with ex Jets much like Eric Mangini was when he was in Cleveland.
