Ever since defenses exposed Kyle Orton for having zero accuracy beyond ten yards, the Broncos have been pitiful. I understand how if Cutler refused to play for your team, you might be stuck with a Kyle Orton as your starting QB for the interim period of finding an actual QB...but to be content with Chris Simms as your backup QB is inexcusable.

I expect the Broncos to miss the playoffs completely, which would be a pretty amazing accomplishment considering they started 6-0. Perhaps we can throw McDaniels into the Mangina/Crennel/Weis bin of overrated POS Patriot assistants.

yeah, because its not like this happened last year. Speaking of wildcard, its pretty awesome how Denver already lost their wildcard tiebreakers to the Steelers and Ravens.
 
The in-fighting is what gets me...especially between a rookie and an established vet. That can happen when the wheels fall off...now it's a question of whether the wheels can get back on.

With the current logjam for the wild card spots, Denver needs to keep focus on the division to assure the postseason. I don't think they can do it, the way they've looked the last few games. They've been just plain bad.

No the bubble hasn't burst. They'll still finish with a winning record and a chance to make the playoffs. Which is an improvement from the last three years, which is pretty good considering what they went through this offseason.

Yeah, this year is a big improvement from last year. Its not like the Broncos started hot in 2008 then collapsed down the stretch.

They're done. Point blank. They will fall to 6-5 this week when they take on the Giants. I'll be surprised if they finish any better than 8-8. That being said, I think they will push for the division next season provided they make a few acquisitions this off season.
 
That final spot is going to come down to the wire. Jacksonville can cave at any time, Baltimore was overrated from the start, and as bad as Pittsburgh has been, I think their spot is the safe. If Denver can pull it off against NY, I like their chances. Personally, I'm pulling for Denver, because the Giants bore the fuck out of me, and watching another one of their playoff games, isn't an option.

Denver is "THAT TEAM" this year; as in, the team that starts hot and everybody is slobbing the knob of......and then they fall off the wagon and show their true colors, finishing the year with atrocious play and a poor record making all the "experts" look stupid.

The same goes the other way; this years Cincinnati Bengals are "THE TEAM". The one who comes out of nowhere to be a good team (a la Miami last year).

You have these phenomenons every year. So.....Denver fans, plan your Jan-Feb appropriately right now, you aren't going to the playoffs :)
 
I keep thinking about the McDaniels post game celebration after they beat the Patriots. lol.

Its nice to see the Broncos come back down to earth. It was getting annoying all the fans on here claiming they were the best thing since sliced bread. Not to mention all the 'experts' talking about how good the team and Kyle Orton are.

How is it overreacting? Teams that start 6-0 shouldnt "defintely get a shot at the wildcard", they shouldbe mortal locks to make the playoffs, if not win their division.

Everyone thought Denver would be terrible before the season, and it's pretty clear the real Broncos more resemble the recent version that cant win a game, more than the luckbox team that beat the Bengals on a tipped ball and rode some momentum to a fake 6-0.

He's just one of those guys who can walk through a room with 5 other people, and go unnoticed.

I mean, really, it's Jim Mora Jr - who cares?

Josh McDaniels came in with a swagger, and threw caution to the wind, he rubs people the wrong way, which draws a lot of attention... A lot like Lane Kiffin in Tennessee and, yes, Rex Ryan. Personally, I love the guy for it. Truth of the matter is, every single thing that McDaniels has done, especially the Cutler situation, not only has me watching Denver for the first time in years, but has me also rooting for them. The haters are going to hate, but it's a lot better than people not caring at all, right? Lol @ Jim Mora Jr.
 
I have to admit, I'm rooting for this team to succeed. All solid players with no "me first" guys aside from Marshall, and the coach wreaks of success coming from a top organization.

lol yeah because 6 (now 7) wins is less of an indicator of what the real broncos are than 4 losses (when their starting QB was injured for 2 of them) Besides it's not like losing to the Steelers and Ravens is even that big of deal, especially when San Diego lost to both teams as well. You don't beat 3 division leaders if you're a fake 6-0 team.

Between the Bronco's collapsing last year, McDaniels being kind of an asshole, and everyone expecting the Broncos to suck this year...a lot of people were just waiting for them to fail so they could confirm what they believed before the season started.
