The news broke yesterday that The Justice League will be getting it’s own feature film. Speculation quickly spread on who would be a part of the project. We now know that each character will in fact be a unique character to the Justice League film. Henry Cavill will not be playing Superman in the Justice League film and Batman will be a reboot from the work that Christopher Nolan has recently done for the studio. The movie is expected to be released sometime in 2013.

‘It doesn’t [connect],” Snyder told the site on the red carpet for the London premiere of Sucker Punch, “Like what Chris Nolan is doing and what I’m doing with ‘Superman’, what they’ll do with ‘Justice League’ will be it’s own thing with its own Batman and own Superman. We’ll be over here with our movie and they’ll kinda get to do it twice, which is kind of cool.”

The studio has already mentioned that they will be rebooting the Batman franchise after The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters.

Nolan is expected to remain as a producer for future projects. How much involvement he will actually have is unknown. But Bale, Oldman, Caine, etc. are probably all done after TDKR, so it will be a completely new vision of the character.

So true. The market seems so saturated with them that I am not even excited for Thor, Captain America, and Green Lantern. Outside of Spider man, Batman, and X-Men, I could care less about some of these other ones. The Incredible Hulk re-casting really pissed me off. Ever since then I've always been weary of putting much excitement in a franchise.

yes but the spiderman series went down fast after the first movie, while the Nolan/Batman series so far at least have been extremely good in my opinion.

but yea, WB just trying to cash in on the Avengers, its stupid, we can barely get single movies out of some heroes, and they are rushing to put them all together. Thought they were better then Marvel when it came to movies

So yeah. This is all over the news. WB is going to fuck this up pretty bad. They aren't doing the same build up that Marvel did with the Avengers, they will most likely just cast new people and throw together shit. I'm expecting massive failure.

True, but people pay to go see them in droves.

Thor, Capt. America, XMen, Green Lantern, and Green Hornet...last year combined grossed around 600M domestically. In 2010 Iron Man 2 grossed over 300M. Wolverine, as awful as that flick was, grossed 180M domestically.

Avengers just shattered records. Batman is due up next and will probably come damn close to besting Avengers, if not surpassing it. Spiderman is going to gross a shit ton. You're looking at 1.5B in domestic sales for those three films potentially by the fall.

They hired the Green Lantern writers for it. It's gunna be trash. this will be a disaster, but I don't care - I'm a Marvel kid.
