I was never a big fan of his but I'm sure he will get picked up and improve on a more stable team.

The Golden State Warriors have emerged as the frontrunner to sign J.J. Hickson after he clears waivers, according to sources close to the situation. Hickson was waived by the Sacramento Kings on Monday afternoon.

Hickson will clear waivers in 48 hours and league sources expect him to sign with Golden State.

The 23-year-old played just 35 games for the Kings before the two sides agreed to a buyout. He has averaged 8.5 points and 5.6 rebounds throughout the course of his four-year career.

The Warriors currently have two open roster spots and could finalize a deal with Hickson as early as Wednesday evening.

I've watched alot of Kings games. the stats dont accurately reflect how he was a black hole of suck moving around the court.

Watched most of the Kings games this year, had high hopes when we traded for him having an athletic PF to go with Cousins but with Jason Thompson's emergence Hickson lost his spot. He is somebody who didn't utilize his athleticism instead thought he was Rip Hamilton and settled for jumpers all day.

The Blazers have reportedly claimed J.J. Hickson off waivers, preventing him from signing with the Warriors.
The Blazers put in the highest successful bid for Hickson, who has a $3.4 million qualifying offer for next season. He will probably supplant Craig Smith in the second unit and could pick up minutes at both PF and C, but he would have a much better fantasy outlook in Golden State.

Like the move, they could use the talent. With them cleaning house, it's pretty much LMA and Batum. Guess they figured they could risk 3.4 mill to potentially get better value out of him.
