Larry Fitzgerald mentioned on his twitter that Brandon Marshall had joined him for a workout today, and it raised an eyebrow wondering for a split second if it was a team event.

Clearly it wasn't, players aren't in camp yet and OTAs are over, so it was only for a moment this hit me, but...

Anquan Bolden to Denver for Brandon Marshall? Thoughts? It's a weird straight up trade, but both guys want out... it wouldn't be much a downgrade for either team.

Yeah but the Cardinals would still have to pay a reciever that they don't want to and on top of that they would have the same concerns that the Broncos have right now... giving a player with off the field problems big money. The Broncos would be fine off with the trade though but i don't think the Cardinals would do it.

Marshall wants out because he doesnt like his situation, and most likely the scheme he is in. Either way, i dont see it happening. But boldin in the broncos shotgun spread system would be epic. I believe he wants out because he wants to get paid. He was drafted i think in the third round and still has his rookie contract. That is ridiculous for a guy with 2 straight 100+ reception seasons. So no, he wants out because he isn't getting paid and the Broncos won't pay him because of his off the field problems because they don't wanna fall into the same trap they did with Travis Henry.

You sir are correct. Everyone knows that mcdaniels runs a spread where short and intermediate routes are common. Orton played in the spread in college, and played quite well for the bears before he fucked his ankle up. In this system, and under mcdaniels, I believe this will be a breakout year for him. Mcdaniels and the broncos organization knew what they were doing when they got orton.

Boldin is a good run blocker too, but the point doesnt matter cuz shanny is out, but he would be awesome if shanny was still there...and last year jerry rice and desean jackson were working out all summer and before the draft...it got me thinking....jerry rice must be coming to Philly...

I think Denver would have to add some picks to the deal. Boldin is an all around better receiver then Marshall. Marshall has had one good season, Boldin has had several.

The natural argument to that, and I'm playing devil's advocate here as I am a Cards fan, is that Boldin has had another elite receiver across from him.

There was a pick involved in that trade as well. Can't remember what round or who sent it, but I know that wasn't a straight up deal.

Everyone talking about how superior Boldin is after the catch makes me LOL. Apparently you haven't seen much of Marshall, most of his yards come after the catch on hitch routes. He's not really fast enough to be a great deep threat, he's a great tackle breaker. He just lets DBs come at his legs and bounce off them.

Oh well ... Trust the local Broncos know it all to prove me wrong
