Lashley Done With TNA?

The TNA website has removed Bobby Lashley's profile from its roster page, which suggests he is no longer affiliated with the organization.

Hulk Hogan recently said that he and Lashley would need to have 'a serious talk' regarding his simultaneous involvement with professional wrestling and mixed martial arts.

"You can't put [Strikeforce] ahead of us," Hogan told Sports Illustrated. "That's not going to work me. I'm going to fix that real quick."

Lashley, who took his MMA record to 5-0 by defeating Wes Sims, said that his Strikeforce debut would go a long way toward deciding his future in the wrestling industry.

Lashley is scheduled to fight at Strikeforce's next event on Apr. 17. His opponent has yet to be determined.

As we reported last night, Bobby Lashley's profile has been removed from the Superstar Roster page on TNA's official website, which suggests he may have parted ways with the company.

According to sources within TNA, Lashley is still technically under contract, but is not considered part of the active roster.

Lashley has been written out of TNA storylines in recent months but remains on good terms with the company and the door is open for him to return down the line.

hes reportedly fighting in april for strikeforce and i hope to god its not some random can again. if he gets a credible opponent and beats him i dont see how he couldnt go 100% on mma cause he would right in line for a title shot.

He really was garbage in TNA anyway...he is a guy that if you gave a good mouthpiece and just let him be the athletic freak monster, he'd be great. However, as is, he is kind of lame.

If its not, its exactly the reason I felt TNA shouldn't be pushing Lashley for the past few months. No payoff. No benefit. Giving TV time to a guy who isn't committed to the business, let alone the company. That just seems like a waste to me.

--Regarding Bobby Lashley being pulled from the TNA web page, that's just storyline, the same as Scott Hall & Sean Waltman being pulled. The idea is that if he's fired in storyline, it makes no sense for the web site to list him as an active roster member.

I expect the MMA guys to be fooled by this, but shame on the wrestling guys. Hogan has reached a point that just about everything out of his mouth is a work. He's the ultimate carny, trust nothing he says, ever.

so lets say lashley fights rogers in april and beats him, he would most likely have a potential matchup with fedor or overeem or whoever is champ. you dont think he wouldnt leave TNA to focus on MMA full time?

I think he should have quit TNA a long time ago, but I guess it's pretty hard to walk away from all of that money when you are only asked to work 2 or 3 days per month. Especially when he's only fighting low level guys right now, and can get away with dual focus and less intense training.

I suspect when his MMA purses increase, he will drop the prowres moonlighting. He said from day 1 he was taking the slow path in MMA, so it;s hard for me to knock him if he keeps opening cans. He's sticking to his plan, good for him if that's what he wants.

EDIT-Add iin the fact that TNA is paying him to STAY HOME and sell a stupid storyline, and you can see why he keeps doing both.

Thats why he's perfect for MMA IMO, i know people like to see the brash cocky fighters talking shit, but i prefer the humble hard workers like he seems to be so far.

I think that impression comes from the fact that its being done exactly that way. Its just like WCW back in the day, being booked a week at a time without much concern for what's going to happen the following week.
