It's work ethic. Combine that with the fact that it's an open weight division, and you knew what was going to happen. If Mir wanted it, he would have come in much much heavier....

Lesnar is bigger, stronger, faster, and more conditioned. When you pride yourself on locking in subs on your back, you best be strong enough to actually do it. Mir was NEVER going to knock out Brock. He had to hope Lesnar opened himself up, which he didn't.

Standing up Mir would have beaten Brock. Brock has yet to show that he has improved from fight to fight. He won this fight just like he won his first fight, he held the other fighter in half gaurd the whole match and just put in a few punches. The Herring fight, his stand up game destroyed Heath's face right from the opening bell, and he pounded him from the ground....

The Couture fight was a stand up the whole match, and Lesnar won that no problem...

The second Mir fight was all Lesnar. He is a WRESTLER. He doesn't have to strike! He is world class...quicker, stronger, bigger....He gave Mir no chance. Even in the standup, Mir caught him with a slight knee, and Lesnar still rocked him to the canvas...

He's improved with each fight...

He has yet to show a vastly improved striking game, he does not use any combos really, he had an alright one against Coture where he landed a knee, but he does not to one certain thing great, except show that he can use his weight to hold the opposing fighter down. Im not taking anything away from the man, its just when you say someone is a beast, they better have the complete game. GSP is a beast, Fedor is a beast, BJ is a beast, Lesnar might get there, but calling him a beast in a little overboard.

He came in weighing atleast, ATLEAST, 290 and Mir was 245. 1st round all his fat ass did was lay on Mir, Herb Dean being a horrible ref didnt stand them up eventho he warned Brock to keep it going 2 times before he threw a punch. 2nd round Mir destroyed him standing up, thats why Lesnar went for the take down, backed him into the gate and punch his head into the gate. Thats the only reason he won because his fat ass layed on Mir.

1. His first MMA fight he layed on the guy and hammerfisted.
2. Mir owned his ass the first time when Lesnar wasn't pressing all his weight on him.
3. Herring sucked ass, he got punched 1 time and cartwheeled all the way to the edge of the ring, and Brock couldn't finish, BROCK LESNAR SUCKED AT WRESTLING AND HE SUCKS EVEN MORE NOW. et:

Edit: Couture fought the fight from the pocket, being as old as Couture is he can't eat a punch from a man as massive as BJ Penn, so that fight should have ended in the first round, but Lesnar sucks.

When I say Wrestling, I mean that scripted WWE/F crap he was into.

cant tell if your being serious or not but you really think brock sucks? hes looked better and better each fight. if your going to outweigh someone by 30 pounds why not use that to your advantage? "the only reason he won is cause he layed his fat ass on him" yeah cause gaining wrist control and landing devastating punches had nothing to do with it. he got hit once all fight. might not of been the most exciting or technical fight but brock came out with a great gameplan and executed it perfectly.

yeah cause fighters who have a weight advantage and superior wrestling skills dont use that to their advantage to keep the other guy on the ground and control them. never happens. mir looked pretty banged up for just being layed on by lesnar

It's sounds like you hatin really. He came into the fight heavy. So what? GSP beat a guy that was 30lbs heavier than him the fight right before, that's part of
MMA and boxing even, u make the weigh in, then u pack the pounds back on before the fight. And as far as his technique, who cares, if it's so bad then sombody will beat him, until then stop hatin.

5th Fight. He layed on top of a guy 30 lbs lighter than him and threw just enough punches to not get stood up, got in some punches but Mir was able to signal he was ok, really? If i guy put a thumbs up to his corner im knocking his ass out then a there kai? Then when he noticed he was getting his ass kicked standing up in the 2nd round he executed plan "Lay and Punch" again and got a TKO which was called a KO when you can clearly see Frank Mir get up and talk shit to Lesnar afterwards = SHIT.

People keep using that weight shit, if Mir was better he woulda won. Just like GSP said when he knew he was 170 and Alves was gunna come in about 200. Skill and Technique beats size and strength. Clearly Mir didn't have enough Skill or Technique to overcome Lesnars size and strength. Stop hatin
