Despite Browns KR Josh Cribbs' pledge to report to training camp on time, he is reportedly "adamant" that he will sit out regular season games if the club doesn't upgrade his contract.
Cribbs reportedly at least needs "significant progress" to be willing to suit up for Week 1. The Browns haven't shown much urgency, but that could change after they get their draft class signed. They have well over a month to appease Cribbs, who is severely underpaid at just $620,000 in 2009 salary

I hate when players whine about how much money they make. If I ran the league no one would make more than 100K a year. And very few would come close to that.

Which makes sense, considering players generate millions upon millions of dollars in revenue. You would suck at running anything.

When you only have around 5 years to make so much money that you or your family doesn't have to work again, you better believe you have to push to make as much money as you're worth or more.

Cribbs definitely is worth more to the Browns than 600K. He was their only threat.

i dont see how cribbs was so damn important, all he can do is return kicks. they can draft a return specialist next year and pay him that much. hes a shitty reciever and whenever they tried to run the widcat with him it never worked. hes gettin paid just fune. and hester got the bears to the super bowl off his kick returns and can actaully catch the ball so he actually desrved the increase in salary
