lolfailed Merger Discussion

Just wanted to let you fucks know that we have something exciting to announce...for the first time in awhile. We're potentially merging with a site called Real Sports Zone. If we do this we'll combine both databases so nothing will be lost and use a domain that will reflect both sites.

Don't worry, the site isn't run by fuckwads like SigSports was. Fellow VSNers Bcransom and Hoodyallen, both long time posters at VSN, run the site. They've built up a pretty good forum. I've been posting there since it started in August. They have a site like VSN...a handful of good posters who tread the line between solid discussion and trolling.

Much like VSN, they are composed of a couple different failed sites that are now under one roof. What better way to get new blood then to team up with another site that doesn't blow.

Anyway, discuss it here. The URL is www.realsportszone.com/forum feel free to drop in and check them out. It's a pretty good forum, and isn't ran by pussies....so that is why we want to hook up with them. Nobody has sold, traded, bought, or gambled away anything lol. This would be us combining and teaming up with them so you fucks can have a more active/better message board to post on.

Not official retards. That is why this is a discussion thread. Staff's case being....do you really want to see threads from Anthony and Heels daily PMing each other on the open forum? Or seeing BroHouse/Adembroski argue politics? At some point new blood is needed on a forum.

People complain in the chatbox about activity, lack of new posters, good threads, quantity of threads. This is in effort to answer those criticisms.

The forum structure will stay vsn-style with an RSZ twist so to speak. There aren't going to be a thousand different sections on teh front page like they have it now, i promise you that. It's a lot more organized.

i dont mind merging. i read through their thread about the merger and they seem like a good group of guys. i dont know how they are gonna feel about the douchebag mentality of this site though. of course they could all be d bags too

i dont like the layout of the forum at all. and i dont like not have a gaming group to merge with our small gaming group. if u do it, then what would be the point to seperate url's or whatever? that seems pointless to me like MM/OS merge

With this potential merge....we would bring the Deep End back. That way those looking for actual discussion can find it. Those looking for lulz and whooty appreciation, can find it in the Locker Room.

In all honesty don't do it.

What VSN is now, is what we all wanted. We say whatever we want, we know who to ignore, we know how everything works, and we are comfortable with that. Maybe the activity isnt big now, but too be honest if we got any more active most of it would just be bullshit anyway that nobody cares about. When VSN was trying to be big and had activity, it wasn't any better.

They have their cliques, we have ours. And we don't take kindly to others.

Whoever controls that gay ass forum skin on their site needs to be dropped off at TGL. Christ that is ugly.

If the forum was otrbasketball, sportzinsomnia, or some other shitty random sports site, I would expect most of this "don't do it". However RSZ is a pretty good forum with a lot of VSN material posters that most of you would bromance given the opportunity.

Hoody and BC run the place...it's not bad at all. I wouldn't have racked up 450 posts there if it blew donkey dick.
