Madden 25 CFM Playoff snafu?

Ok, so myself and two other buddies are running an online franchise on PS3. At the end of season 2 I finish 10-6 with the Bears. I went through a bad stretch during the middle of the season where each team I faced the QB went into robo-mode and were unstoppable. They would complete 20 passes in a row. Anyway, I lost four straight at one point. I finished the season with four straight wins and ended 10-6. The Packers won the division at 11-5 and the Lions were also 10-6.

Now, here's where it gets interesting. The Seahwaks one the NFC West at 12-4, Packers in the North at 11-5, Falcons in the South at 12-4 and the Ginats in the East at 9-7. The 49ers got one of the Wild Card spots with an 11-5 record. As for the last Wild Card we had myself (Bears) at 10-6, the Lions at 10-6 and the Panthers at 10-6. The Lions and I had identical records on the season, within the divison and also head-to-head (one win each). The NFC North did play the NFC South as part of the scheduling so I played all of the NFC South teams and went 2-2 against them and the Panthers went 3-1 against the North.

The Panthers won the Wild Card spot and I'm confused. According to NFL.com's tie-breaking rules when you have two teams from the same division you have to:
1.Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games among the clubs).
2.Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
3.Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
4.Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
5.Strength of victory.
6.Strength of schedule.
Now, I checked and I barely edged the Lions out using this formula. As for the Panters, according to the site it clearly says the first thing you take into consideration is head-to-head (if applicable). I played the Panthers and beat them, so how are they the team that makes the playoffs?:what::irked:

We've seen some playoff seeding fuck ups in TGT and 220. They'll get it right some day even though its been fucked up since last cycle.

I don't remember what it is but it goes through 4 criteria iirc being:

1. h2h
2. div record
3. conf record
4. total points scored

I'm convinced that Carolina got in just because they were first ALPHABETICALLY. Ugh.

So, even by Madden's logic I still should've been in based on the H2H, but no dice.

I just wish that if they are going to fail to code simple things like this properly, at least give the league commish the power to change the playoff teams and seeding.

I'm pretty sure Madden has never had tiebreakers right. Online of offline. I've gotten snubbed on quite a few occasions on botched tiebreakers.

I haven't looked into this years but no, they haven't been right any other year.

That really sucks. It was a very up and down season and I had a lot of fun playing it. I like when there's a challenge and you're not steamrolling everyone, although the robo-QB crap was annoying as hell. To fight back and win four straight only to get snubbed by bad programming saddens me. :irked:

The head-to-head rule only applies when there are ONLY 2 teams with the same record. When there are 3 or more teams tied, then one of the three teams will have had to sweep EVERY other team that has the same record. Otherwise, the head-to-head record is bypassed
