I agree, but they should be overruled with the challenge. This is just too obvious of a call to really be blown.

Completely agree! i think the bad calls are situationally triggered with a % chance of happening in those situation. i would guess the problem becomes how do you determine the captain obvious factor? Would you add in another layer of situational percentage chance? And how do you prgram in "Obvious".

I've seen calls like this 4-5 times since I got the game. Simply atrocious.

We have pushed that with Mike Young for a couple of cycles now. His counter was that the average person probably wouldn't want that but we asked that they make it a toggle so that it could be used for the CFM crowd, which has a lot more sim ballers in it.

theres no stat for bad snaps so it shouldn't happen enough to matter. you want it once a game when it doesn't even happen that much in real life ?

No but it is in the game.... so it should be on Madden on an awareness based percentage chance.

I don't venture much outside of the roster & slider forums but I'm curious do you have contact with EA developers?

This is something that should have been in Madden and NCAA Football years ago and I agree awareness should be tied into it but they also should assign a rating for deep snapping as all teams actually scout players for that sole skill/purpose.


If a deep snapper gets injured trust me every NFL team starts to panic check the waiver wire instantly for a replacement. But in Madden I can assign any joe schmuck to be the long snapper without any consequences.

I hope you can get them (EA) to listen and realize they could always include it in the game and give the option to disable it for those who prefer not to have it IMPACT a game.

Yeah it is something we are trying to get in. The developers are for it but my guess it becomes where it sits on the priority list.

Adding ratings and traits is at the top of my list personally. Finding better ways to differentiate players is (in my opinion) one of the untapped keys to having a better game.
