Make this trade?

I have been offered Torrey Smith for Doug Martin.

Scoring is standard with .5 per reception. Format is QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/Util/Util/Util.

Current roster has McFadden, Forte, LeShore, Martin, and Alfred Morris at RB, so theres some depth there.

My WRs are weaker, Antonio Brown, Malcom Floyd, Maclin, Lafell, and DHB. I could definitely use an upgrade there.

Id rather move Alfred Morris but thats probably not landing me a big play guy like Torrey. Im not the biggest fan but his potential for huge receiving TDs any week makes him pretty nice. Im big on Martin but I got a lot of RB depth.. what say you VSN?

It's tough because you have a good stable of RBs, but Forte and McFadden have durability issues. Your WR's need to be upgraded, especially since Maclin has an injury issue and also because the Philly offense just looks terrible out there.

I would take the deal. I have confidence in Morris continuing his start with the Redskins, and Leshoure should continue to perform well in the Lions offense, and with your receivers needing that help, it makes it an easier call.

He also has Victor Cruz and Brandon Marshall.. may be able to swing one of those guys but it'd prob take more then Martin.

His original offer was Torrey for McFadden which I :lol:'d at.

You have to get a WR and I'm as big of a Torrey Smith fan as anyone, but by the end of the pre-season Doug Martin was a late 2nd round pick/early 3rd and Torrey Smith was being drafted as a WR #3. Week 1 showed what will happen now and then, he'll have great games and then a few clunkers when the deep pass is taken away. He hasn't developed the underneath stuff JUST yet, but I think he's getting there.

Is there anyone else who would give you more than Torrey for Doug? Or better yet, sell high on Morris and try to get someone of Torrey's caliber.

Just feel like you're giving up a top 15 RB for a top 25 WR, when it's harder to find a running back.

Yeah I definitely feel like im "losing" a little bit in this trade, which is something I dont like feeling when making any trade. It may be necessary tho.. by week 3-4 ADP becomes kind of irrelevant bcus things change so quickly in the NFL. But I still think I can do better. I may hold off on this one for now.

What do you guys think of packaging DHB and Martin for Marshall? Or Cruz? Or Morris and DHB for either of those guys?

The other owner wouldn't do it, if I had to guess. If he does, do it.

Anyway you can make Torrey and Martin trade 2 for 2? Get a lesser RB in return and give a lesser WR.

tbh this is one where if the other guys team looks really strong i wouldnt and if the guys team looks weak ass hell i would.

I guess im not really sold on T.Smith.

If one of ur RBs goes down then ur in trouble.
