Way to completely overanalyze the situation. The comparison strictly ended at a great college player leading a mediocre team deep into the NCAA tournament.

Vasquez sucks at driving to the hoop, half the time he gets extremely lucky that it goes in.

lol @ saying Maryland is a mediocre team. Hayes is one of, if not the, best 3 point shooter in the ACC.

Jordan Williams is coming along very nicely for a freshman throwing up double doubles multiple times this season.

Milbourne and Mosely have been getting to the rim a lot lately, putting up points needed.

Vasquez could have a 10-15 point game, which he has had, and Maryland would still win, which they have.


Steph Curry had absolutely nobody out there worth a damn and had to score 30-40 a night just for his team to have a fighting chance.

And how many of those assists came from passes to Steph Curry? I'm willing to bet almost all of them. It's not hard to lead the nation in assists when every team you face is doubling up a player.

Did any other player on that Davidson team even average double figures? I'm too lazy to look it up.

The point I'm trying to make is that the situations are completely different. Curry led a small time school that nobody has ever heard of to a NCAA tournament run by scoring almost 1/4 to 1/3 of their total points every single night. Vasquez plays for Maryland in which he scores maybe 1/5 of the teams points on a good night and I'm willing to bet if they rely on Vasquez for points, they'll be an easy upset.
