:ukiddingme:
The fuck are you guys retarded or something?
Of course his AAA numbers are inflated. That's not disputed. But that doesn't change that he was about to get called up to be a utility infielder anyways. They didn't sign the guy for 32 million to play in AAA for four years. They wanted him to get his minor league ABs and he got them. Not only that, he didn't disappoint. In fact, he is the top hitter on the AAA Isotopes, which includes Joc Pederson who is considered one of the top hitting prospects in the Dodgers organization right now. I'm not going to fact check, but I think he's the top hitter in the PCL for the time he's been playing (he was on the DL for a bit with an oblique strain).
Anyways, he was about to get called up. You dudes want to be assholes and say that the PCL numbers don't mean anything which is not true. Do they deserve an enormous grain of salt? Yes, of course. That's why I said PCLOL from the start. I don't know who this strawman is you guys are trying to embarrass. You can't see a guy OPSing out of his brain in the PCL and expect him to repeat the same numbers in the bigs. No one is doing that. Instead, the Dodgers see a guy who is crushing the ball in AAA, and you see your big league roster has Chone fucking Figgins on it, 1 + 1 = 2 and maybe calling him up becomes a good idea.
Herp derp, but you want to talk shit instead of using your brains so whatever. Guerrero was going to get called up to be a utility infielder, not the next Yasiel Puig. Instead, they called up the other overpriced Cuban today. Erisbel Arruebarrena. He's getting 5 years and 25 million to be a backup shortstop. He has zero hitting ability, all glove.
They wanted to call up Guerrero, but couldn't because he had to get ear surgery. So we get another guy who can't hit. You douchebags want to act like I'm making the case that we have a one-eared Puig down in Albuquerque or something.
:wank:
Anyways, tell me more about the PCL and Guerrero, Obst. You're a brilliant VSN beisbol poster, aren't you?
