Probably tore a knee ligament, or patella tendon. Can't watch it more than once, your knee isn't supposed to do that. It's also a lesson, finish out your run.

Really sucked seeing Machado get hurt, kid was out there everyday then a fluke thing like that happens. I actually thought Alexi Casilla was dead on that fly ball where he collided with Markakis. Tremendous play that would of saved the game but bad luck was on their side apparently.

Very big, very thankful that was all of it.
As for the post Maynard made, Orioles fans need to see that. Half of MLB teams spend less than the Orioles, and I'm tired of the complaints. Sure, we don't have the Dodgers payroll, but we've made moves when we've had to and we are developing and keeping our talent. I'm very happy with our performance under Duquette and Showalter.

Did he bang it or tweak it earlier in the game? I just don't see what happened. It looked like it simply gave out.

Look at when he just passes the bag when his leg comes back up. It's rotated at an angle that it definitely shouldn't be. He avoided not just a major injury, but it's very likely he avoided surgery as well.
