So, what wins it for you, Destiny or Titanfall?

Titanfall was really fun but just had no replay value after 3 weeks. Not a disappointment though. Didn't touch Destiny. Halo has disappointed me the most. It took me forever to download and 2 weeks post launch they're just now getting matchmaking decently fixed.

Most Disappointing Game

I really like Titanfall. I played it a ton for weeks and still play it from time to time.

Halo is just killing me right now. I played for 45 minutes with a friend and managed to get into ONE game before we had enough. But when we can get into games it's crazy fun. It is working much better when I play by myself but they still have a lot of work to do.

Overall, I'd say Titanfall without question. However, I was never excited about Titanfall, especially after playing the beta. So to me, it's not disappointing b/c I was never excited about it. But with the media acting like this game was the second coming of christ and it being the CoD killer... it's pretty lol-worthy now.

Destiny... I was fairly excited about this one. The lack of story and the soft level cap of 20 kinda sucks (b/c I'm not doing that grinding bullshit from 20-30). I also think there should have been a little more content in the base game. I still enjoyed my time with it. Did it live up to its hype? No. But not bad.

It is a trick question, as both were hugely disappointing for different reasons. And the Halo rerelease doesn't count because the games have been out forever and the dev just fucked it up.

No.

Titanfall is the bigger disappointment to the industry, to gaming as a whole. Everyone was incredibly amped up about this game... and then weeks after release nobody on my XBL friends list was playing it anymore.

For me personally, I can't really call it a disappointment b/c from the moment it was announced, I wasn't interested in it.

I would say Destiny is the far bigger disappointment to the industry. Why do you think that Titanfall is? Because of the E3 awards?

Still not what I'm getting at (and that's my fault for not using the right words). From purely a time-invested standpoint from what I witness on my friends lists. When Titanfall first came out, everyone on my XBL friends list was playing it. Mere weeks later? Nothing. Not a single trace of it. On the other hand, I still have plenty of people on my PSN friends list who consistently play Destiny.

I am still not sure that that equals more disappointing to the industry. Sustainable insterest is not the same as hype, I'd argue. They're both bad in my experience, and a huge letdown. Destiny I thought had just as much prerelease hyper and it is boring as shit now. Both bottomed out super quick, but at least one was a new company. It made some sense. Bungie just tried to make Halo 4.

Didn't you sell your Xbox one shortly after Titanfall released, curious how you were supposed to see people on your friends list when you didn't even have the system lol

I already said I worded that reply wrong where I said "industry." I meant gamers as a whole (as in not on a personal level). So just erase that sentence from your mind.

Of course hype and sustainable interest aren't the same thing. But when we're talking about one or the other being more disappointing, both of those absolutely factor in. What I'm saying is... both were enormously hyped. Both were disappointing. But when I still see a good chunk of people playing Destiny 2+ months after release and the fact that I wasn't seeing people playing Titanfall a few weeks after its release, I'm thinking that gamers, as a whole, find Destiny to be a little less disappointing than Titanfall.

Difference is Destiny was released with a supposed 10-year plan making the game more of an investment than a finished product. Also Titanfall is exclusive meaning there's less people to be disappointed compared to Destiny which came out for just about everything.
