Josh Scobee Makes 55 yard game winner Well this one was a long fight tell the end. Both defenses held strong , with nether team giving up. The first quarter was nothing but punts intell jaguars got in field goal range and scobee made a 31 yarder. 3-0 going into second quarter.In the second quarter both teams came out with some points. The titans had a four yard run by Chris Johnson, Jaguars with a three yard over the shoulder pass to Jerry Porter.Going into half score was 10-7 both teams came out fired and determined to win the game. Defense on both side held each other in check. Nether team score a point in third quarter. The fourth quater is here and this is where it all takes a turn. The score staying at 10-7 jaguars. The titans where forced to punt the ball, jaguars ate the whole clock up in forth quarter driving it down the field.Then titans defense gets a spark and hold them to a field goal Scobee making a 18 yard field goal to make the score 13-7 with 1:37 left in the game. The titans with no timeout and 1:37 left in the game they came out firing two eighteen yard passes back to back. The titans drove it down the field scoring a touchdown with 0:16 left on the clock. The Jaguars down one point with 0:16 left jaguars had no other choose but th throw deep and hope for a miracle, and that's just what they did with Matt Jones catching a 42 yard pass to put them in field goal position. 0:09 left the jaguars try and go one more play to get them closer. David garrard throws a bullet intended for Mercedes Lewis in the middle but it goes rit to Michale Griffin and Griffin drops the game saving interception. With 0:06 left scobee nails a game winning field goal. After the game Coach Hoyel had some words to say "We played a very strong game on both sides of the ball, the blocking was very good, but in clutch we made a few poor decisions that cost us a chance to win. And on defense had we knocked down one or even both of the passes to Matt Jones, we would have come out on top 14-3. But that is why we were there playing that game. On defense had we taken advantage of our opportunities for turnovers then this game would have been completely different, but we didn't and that is why we lost by 2."
