Nash vs Allen

Which move makes the most impact and what kind of difference will either player make?

Nash by a mile. First off, Nash is starting while Ray Ray is coming off the bench so I think that makes the choice pretty easy.


If not for that then it's been a long long long time since the lakers have had a legitimate true point, I think regardless if superman comes to the team he makes an immediate impact and immediately elevates everyone's game on the court. If the Lakers can pull of the Dwight trade, it'll almost completely negate any of the defensive holes in this roster because they'll have one of the best help defenders in the league. If they don't, they may have some defensive holes but I still think the improvement you'll see from the entire roster on the offensive side of the ball will be greater than any defensive liabilities along the perimeter.

Ray Allen is basically playing the same role as the players who were there before him, not much change besides a tad more consistency (If Ray Ray can get back to his 100% healthy self again). He's still not gonna see major minutes coming off the bench behind Wade. You might see Wade run point a little bit more this season though.

This isn't accurate at all. One of the selling points, besides the obvious championship thing, is that he'd be getting more playing time in Miami than he would in Boston. He probably won't be a starter, but he'll still be in the 30-32 mpg range coming off the bench. He's a far better player than the likes of Mike Miller, Norris Cole, James Jones, etc. It's a fairly large upgrade for Miami. Should have an impact similar to what Jason Terry had been doing for the Mavs as a sixth man.

That being said, Nash is the obvious answer for most impact. He's really going to have an absurd season with the Lakers. As has been said already, the Lakers haven't had a legitimate point guard since well, Nick Van Exel? And, Nash hasn't had anywhere near the talent to work with at any point in his career that he has on this roster. I expect him to have an absolute monster of a season, even if the Lakers don't acquire Howard.

I want to say Nash as he's the starter but Ray Ray shoots 49% in catch and shoot situations. He's going to make it fuckin rain all day with LeBron finding him the ball.

Really interested to see how Nash/Kobe work out as Kobe always has the ball in his hands.

Lol you're a fucking fool I was correct. He would not have been able to get those kind of minutes in Miami lmao (I said he'd get around 25 in LA, which is almost spot on). And he was a solid contributor to the team in his role.

- Umm what... His numbers weren't skewed lmao. He played a few more minutes (22) post ASB than pre ASB (20), but he still only started 6 games. His numbers in the first half of the season where 9-5 compared to 11-5 in the second half of the season (where he took 2 more shots per game). You are literally making stuff up lmao.
