Does quarterback Nathan Enderle have what it takes to play in the NFL?
Most of you don't know who Enderle is, and most of you have never seen him play ever. Considering I'm fairly sure most of you will have had no idea of his existence up until reading this thread, I am not sure how valuable your input will be, but I'd like to hear it regardless. So let me fill you in.
Enderle is entering his senior year at the University of Idaho, his fourth year as a starter. Last season he had a QB rating of 157.27, threw for 22 touchdowns and 2,906 yards. He has 52 career passing touchdowns and 6,770 career passing yards.
Enderle is 6'5", 230 pounds and has a very strong and rather accurate arm. He runs a 5 second 40 and has proven himself in clutch situations time and time again, the most recent being the 2009 Humanitarian Bowl against Bowling Green in which he led the Vandals to a 43-42 victory over the Falcons with a touchdown drive after going all the way down the field and sealing the deal with a 2 point conversion as the clock expired.
He's a very physical player, and in my homer opinion, has everything it takes to play at the next level. The obvious con is that he plays for a very small program and has played against weak competition for his entire collegiate career. Regardless, I feel that he has everything it takes, physically and mentally, to be a successful player and athlete in the NFL.
I encourage all of you who care to look up Enderle and his numbers and any video highlights you can possibly find before weighing your opinion on his capability to be a successful professional quarterback.
I feel like he has what it takes, and I certainly hope he garners national attention in his senior year despite playing for a small program. He is my favorite collegiate quarterback in my lifetime, and he has been a pleasure to watch these past three years. I've got a feeling that his senior year will be an enormous success and I am hoping that he has the opportunity to show the country that he is an elite QB.
