Let's be honest this year guys. The gap has closed considerably.

The 2k series is a previous gen port that's starting to show its age.

I was actually thinking about Madden 09 in particular when I said mainstream sites suck, I honestly do not give 2 shits, nor 1 shit, about what score the game got

I played the Live demo and its not as good as NBA2k8 IMO

BUT NBA 2k seems like its been the same exact game since it came out on ps3 for 2k7, doesnt seem like much has changed.

Why should it? Is there really that much outburst in the gaming community to warrant any ground breaking features for 2k? You're talking about the staple of 2k Sports since 2k Football has gone missing until further notice.

When you've set the Standard for Basketball gaming for so long, you shouldn't have to make leaps and jumps like Live has tried to do since 2k has come to the forefront. I'm also sick of hearing the "2K Fan Boys" argument. When you say live is good do you hear those defending 2k calling you an "EA Fan Boy"? It's so easy to revert to childish acts like name calling when you have no depth or base to your argument of why we should buy live.

EA Games has fallen off since the turn of the millennium. Promising gamers all these really cool, really in depth features that turn out to be nothing more then flash in the pan advancements that no matter how "good" or "in-depth" they claim to be, they lose their luster coming into week three of owning the game.

Honestly, I decided long ago to quit attempting Live. The last time I bought it was 05, I had 2k5 then too. I can't honestly say that purchasing Live, even then. Was not worth the $50. EA has promised advancements and stellar game play before but it's the same ole song and dance.

its funny because when a game comes out like 2k10 or nhl 10 that is basically the same core game as the previous year, people moan and groan cause its the same as before.

but then when other games comes along every year with some new BS feature people moan and groan because they focus on the new feature instead of the core game......

last nba game i played was 2k7 and it didnt give me the experience i want....but sports games in general have lost their appeal to me because you never get the gameplay experience you want from these games. The competitive games turn to blowouts and it just becomes a repetitive experience that is boring. You end up spending all your time trying to make the game fun to play and by the time you figure it out the game has turned into a song you have heard over and over
