NBC Considering Moving Back Leno, Conan and Fallon

There are rumors and reports that NBC has recently held meetings that would see them push Leno back to 11:35 for a 1/2 hour show. Conan would have an hour-long shot beginning at midnight and Fallon would have an hour-long show starting at 1am.


NBC has basically confirmed that the Leno experiment at 10pm has been a failure. How this all plays out over the next two months will be very interesting.

TMZ says NBC has given the option to Conan to either stay and do the midnight to 1am show (with Leno at 11:35) or leave and Leno would get back the show. They say Conan is pissed.

Conan's getting the shaft here for terrible decisions by NBC. First, they forced Leno out of the Tonight Show, then decided that he was still too valuable to let another network take him, thus giving him a show that was destined to fail from the start. A few months later, Leno's show sucks, NBC affiliates are pissed, and Conan is losing to Letterman.

NBC is the world's biggest clusterfuck. Jesus.

NBC is fucking retarded. In order for Conan to be successful they need to let go of Leno. Leno has some of the worst ratings the 10:00 slot has ever seen. He is losing to Spongebob Squarepants and DVR'd tv shows. There is a reason why Conan isn't getting the ratings Jay's show did.. HE HAS NO FUCKING LEAD IN. People watch their 10:00 shows, catch the news, and then carry on with the Tonight Show. That's not going to happen for Conan if no one is watching Leno's show. Of course Leno's 11:35 show is going to be successful BECAUSE HE GETS THE LEAD IN THAT CONAN NEVER DID.

NBC is straight up murdering Conan's chances at being successful and then looking at one another and wondering why he isn't getting the ratings that Jay did at 11:35.

Fuck off, NBC, you don't deserve Conan.

NBC President Jeff Zucker is the jackass.

He probably won't be in that role for too much longer since Comcast and NBC are merging. Changes will be had for sure.
 
Conan is getting jobbed here. NBC gave Leno 18 months of low ratings and questions about his ability to beat Letterman before he turned it around. Conan's had like 6 or 7 months? It's not that I dislike Leno, but I like Conan a lot better and he has done his time and deserves the big slot.

NBC has done nothing to help Conan either by making that stupid primetime Leno show anyway. Who wants to watch what is basically The Tonight Show just 90 minutes earlier? Zucker needs to put down the pipe.
 
It's official. Leno moving back to "Tonight" (30 min version). Conan is being approached about moving back to "Late Night" but I doubt he would take demotion (along with insult) and Fallon would take a new show at 1 AM if this all worked out for NBC.

I agree with these two. I think all the late night guys suck sans Conan and Ferguson.

Conan is killing it with the 18-35 demographic, but the 35+ crowd are tuning into Letterman. Unfortunately 35+ have the most disposable income so thats who the networks cater to.

Leno's show will start at 11:35. The Tonight show is pushed to midnight with Conan and Late Night with Fallon at 1am
