I kinda hyped this whole day up and was expecting a lot but this all is still not to bad. They did not need to do too much to improve dynasty. But something i did notice was in the beginning when he was making his way to start the dynasty i saw something called Team builder. I have not heard anything about this so i am not sure what to expect from it.

I don't know about anyone else but i kinda like the new look and layout of the game.

Yeah the layout looks really nice. The recruits are more detailed now which isn't big, but its the little things that count.

Yea i hope we can see contracts in online dynasty. It would be cool to start as a small time coach then get offers as you achieve more goals.

Competitive Recruiting - You select a school to recruit against (in Recruits List) and effect how the recruit sees the other school.

Coach B-Dawg: If you go to play for coach CLW when you were on my recruiting list, the only reason he wants you is so that I don't get you. You'll rot on the bench and never play. Just ask Jamie Bell. CLW won't care one bit about you as a person once he gets pen to paper.

I like that there will be untouched recruits open up in the offseason. If my team has a great out-of-the-blue season, there's not much of a payoff until the following year because players more or less are locked into a handful of schools they're interested in by midseason.

Looks like they really addressed some nuts-and-bolts issues rather than just providing fluff. If anything is on the fluff side, it's competitive recruiting, but it looks like it'll be fun. I can't wait to expose CLW as the fraud that he is to high school recruits around the country.

Custom conferences will be sick, too. Now you can have your favorite team and not worry about what conference they're in.

I wonder if you can set up your offline dynasty this way, like if I wanted to put all the Michigan MAC schools in the Big Ten right off the bat and boot Indiana, Minnesota and Northwestern.

I actually think that is a terrible new addition. In today's world of recruiting, you will rarely, IF EVER have 5 and 4 star recruits untouched by mid-season, nevermind season's end. I can see late rising, big senior season 1, 2 and low 3 stars, maybe even a JuCo or Prep player, but regular college seniors untouched by mid-season...doesn't happen.

Maybe a bit of a step back in recruiting with that, I think.

Maybe if these players had lower mid-major teams offering, but not a lot of interest from the big boys, I can understand, but 4-5 star players...nah.

I agree that recruits don't go untouched. However, you will see big name recruits have essentially 4-5 schools that are all equal in their minds until national signing day. Now, in an online dynasty with 12 users very few if any Top 100 recruits are unsigned going into the off-season. Moreover, there are no "decommits" in the game which also happens IRL.

Good points. I'm not sure how much wavering of interest occurs int he mind of a real-life blue-chip recruit. It does seem that, in the video game, they're pretty much locked into the team they'll ultimately sign for when the top 10 schools are listed in the preseason. That might be realistic, I s'pose. I've talked to kids like that and they've generally narrowed their choices to five schools before their senior year even starts. In some cases, like a quarterback in our area, they'll verbally commit during their JUNIOR year. Joe Boisture from Goodrich High School, right next to G-Bizzle, just verbally committed to Boston College and still has his senior year left.

Then there was Mark Ingram (former G-Bizzle player) who got recruited by Alabama late in the process and sound up going there. Knowing Nick Saban, I would doubt there was some of this involved:

Basically, I'd like a little reward for two things: 1. Having an unexpectedly good season and 2. My style of play. Style of play used to be a key in NCAA recruiting. Let's say I like to run the ball a lot. I should have running backs and power linemen switching gears in-season and giving me a fresh look.

Edit: Just re-read the part about adding some off-season recruiting drama. I agree totally! It used to be in the NCAA series before in-season recruiting (which was an awesome addition, don't get me wrong) that you really looked forward to the offseason, even more than playing the games sometimes. Now, you get to the offseason and your class is pretty much set. You have in-season commitments and you have guys ranking your school No. 1 on their list. If you're recruiting against CPU teams, that's pretty much a lock. There's not much drama to the offseason recruiting, which should be the best part of the game.
