New vids from madden 10

The out route was the same way as 09 in terms of raping the man but im pressuming thats because it was Wes Welker

You saw the defender play outside leverage on a streak. That's a completion most of the time when Welker's the receiver and the inside help doesn't get there, even against very good corners.

The man coverage, as of the last time I played, is very good.

It would really be cool is while Jostling the receiver could push off to get open or the defender could grab the jersey of the receiver to keep him from running his route. I know I know that would be too much to ask for.

Nothing is too much to ask for. Some things may be too much to expect, but nothing is too much to ask for.

For the record, I seem to remember a conversation at Tiburon in which this was brought up and it was honestly considered (albeit, the context was more about tackling than coverage), but the technology necessary for it wasn't there yet and it couldn't be done this year. Does that mean it's on the docket for next year? I don't know, but they've talked about it, and that's a start.

It was wes welker vs the Raiders 2nd or 3rd CB. If they did what they said and made it so ratings mean something then that route wouldn't have been so easy vs asmougha. Just looking at this vid isn't enough too judge how good coverage is.

Im not fully judging it, im just hoping they fixed it because man coverage was a huge disappointment in 09 I just know it will be one of the first things I will be testing in the demo

Jostling looked meh, but it's better than before.

Maybe it's just me playing APF 2K8 too much, but I SWEAR we used to be able to shade corners inside or outisde in Madden. I miss that feature...

The out route was vs. the Raiders nickel DB, Stanford Routt, who has a very low overall rating and a very poor man coverage rating, I expect Welker to beat him damn near every time on that route.

The jostling route was against Chris Johnson, who is much better than Routt, and had pretty good coverage actually considering his bump and run rating is probably pretty low and was on Welker.

From what I've seen so far, the man D is very much improved from last years game.
