[ALL] Next-gen launch 24 hour marathon

Was just bringing this up on the VSN Twitch channel, but with most everyone being able to stream once the next-gen consoles launch (unless you still have dial up interwebz), we should get a group of people together and do simultaneous 24 hour marathons. I'm sure some of you wouldn't want to do the full 24 hours, so we can set up a block schedule or something on the VSN channel while some others, like myself, attempt the full 24 hour marathon on their own channels. We'd link to each other's pages and to the forum on each channel.

So basically, the VSN channel will always be live with someone playing something, whether it be Atlas playing Dead Rising 3 from 12am to 4am or jms playing Forza from 10am to noon. We will fill that channel up with small time blocks for the full 24 hours. Others wanting to marathon on their own for the full 24 hours, or even 12 hours or so, will do so on their own personal channels. We will have links set up to all of the live channels in each channel profile.

I don't really have a set date in mind since we still don't know the launch date for the XB1, but it'll probably be the first weekend after both of them are already out, so Saturday of 11/16 could be in play.

Doesn't matter what you stream as long as you're streaming. I'll be streaming some Watch_Dogs and BF4 most likely. If you're interested, post in here saying so and whether you'd rather do a block time on the VSN channel or attempt the full 24 hour marathon.

Oh, and if anyone is interested in the marathon but isn't getting next-gen at launch, you can still sign up as long as you have the ability to stream (this includes both PC gamers and current-gen console gamers).

I am curious if the Twitch Servers are ready to handle the onslaught of streams popping up. I would be more than happy to stream Forza, RYSE, or possible next gen Madden.

That's something like what I had in mind. People can opt for a time slot on the VSN channel, like say "Atlas will play 4 hours of CoD: Ghosts from midnight to 4am" while some others may want to attempt the full 24 hours by themselves, and those people will stream on their own channel while having links put up to the VSN Twitch stream as well as the other full 24 hour personal streams. So someone will always be playing on the VSN channel for the 24 hours while we may have a few other channels that are doing the full 24 hours with just one person.

I'll have Watch_Dogs, Killzone, BF4, Knack, and NBA 2k14 along with all those F2P games.

I'd do 12 hours. I'd feel like a true bum going the whole 24. 12 is still pretty bummy but I'll feel better about myself

Added Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag to my preorder list this weekend. So I'll be able to marathon that game in case we get an overflow of Watch_Dogs streams going (which it seems we have quite a bit of interest in that one so far).

Alright, it looks like Saturday November 23 is probably going to be our day to do this. We wont do an official start time until much closer to the date, but I imagine we'll probably look at starting in the late morning of that Saturday.
