With their being two leagues running at VSN, there are a few reasons why another can be not only added, but successful. The Isomotion Legends League is a successful league with a short season, while the VSBA has turned into a tradefest, amongst other pressing issues.
I present the No Bullshit Association, or NBSA. This league will be run by myself, and MRN, assuring that someone will always be around for league updates and/or rulings on league issues or disputes. This league is going to live on few rules, and put the onus on the owner to be mature and handle their own problems (a commish will be around most of the time for pressing needs).
Everyone knows how to play in a mature manner; so it's expected from all to play in a sportsmanlike and responsible way. The few rules we will incorporate into the league are outlined as such:
- PIP - 2nd Chance < 50% (automatic forfeit if broken, even by 1 percent; 50.4% is rounded down to 50%)
- Football outlets must wait for the defense to catch up before a shot is taken.
- No whining publicly on the chatbox.
- On ball defense is MANdatory (unless switching to defend a player who is coming off a screen, but you must switch back). In zone, you must either be on ball or one pass away.
- 5 games in an 8 day block
The rest are the unwritten rules (stealing inbounds, pressing, backcourt, sharing the offensive wealth, etc...). Everyone knows what real basketball is. You don't see players shaking like they are having a seizure on the floor in real life, so let's not see those pump fakes 3-4 times a possession. A pump after a kickout is fine, but not after every pass.
So I open this up to the public. We will be taking those that are, first and foremost, ACTIVE at VSN. Sign ups are below. We are going to start at twelve, and if the interest is high enough, we will bump it up. We won't use everyone to start, as a wait list is needed. So sign up early if you plan on playing in NBSA.
