No Huddle Spike Ball Not Working?

So this has been happening to me a good amount lately. I get to the situation to where I have no timeouts or I do have timeouts and I just want to conserve em. So I'm running a no huddle, pressing triangle to do so. All is well with that, but the moment I mash and hold that square button (which is supposed to be the spike ball button) and nothing happens. It just shows the little cutscene before going to the playbook again as the time just keeps rolling on.

Is the spike button not working for anyone else or is it just me?

Even though I have to ask, why the hell do they change the buttons of things we've been use to for like the past 5+ years every year it seems like. Swatting and strip ball is back to L1 after being X the past few years (which I'm glad they changed it back).

L1 = Swat/Stripe
L2 = Strafe

I think they might have changed it to circle, when they put this "Rewind"....square is now activates "Rewind," if you have any available during the game.

That's what I meant, lol. Dunno why I said strafing, but yea, strafing is still L2.

Don't know if it was included last year but NO to this year. It's only in NCAA; square is spike and circle is fake spike.....they should bring this back next year.

There is, the computer has done it to me a couple of times. But after looking into the instructional manual again, says nothing about how to do it so I dunno.

it's circle in NCAA too. I played it a lot more than madden. I stopped playing madden in Sept last year

actually i think they changed the no huddle this year
im pretty sure, but not 100% positive is
you can't run a no huddle, if (a) incomplete pass (b) run out of bounds i geuss its because those times when you know a guy was wide open, and you got sacked, but then run no huddle just change your protections before the defense knew what hit em
or its because a stoppage of time
