This is the best QB award. This is not for hypotheticals. Who gives an F if McCoy was in that system... Maybe Brennan and Harrell should've won it. :twinkle: Ya, I said it.

Keenum gets my vote because he's the only of three polls I've voted in I actually know something about. Fuck Tebow. (Not really, I think he's a great guy, albeit undeserving of this or the Heisman this year. I think he has pro potential because I like dual-threat QBs. :thumbsup

So it matters what conference you put up hypothetical numbers in?

Keenum shits all over McCoy, and McCoy is in an offense very similar to that of Houston. He rolls out and throws it 4 yards at a time, wow congrats on the completion percentage title, Bruce Gradkowski is proud of you.

The defense shouldn't matter...Houston's gameplan is to outscore people...that is what they are all about...it is why they run the offense that they run, to give them a schematic advantage to compensate for where they lack (athletes on defense).

If UTEP scores 58, Houston should score 59 (UTEP is 83rd in pass D, 109th in total D...no excuse).

UCF has the 112th ranked pass D in the country.

Houston and Keenum fail.

Plus, I have a strong bias away from stat compiling quarterbacks like Keenum when put against traditional QBs and QBs like Tebow who are the best of his era...you need to have a flawless resume, really.

I agree on some levels but it's hard to outscore a team when your D is being ran on all day long. I don't care how little Houston pays attention to defense .... you don't expect to concede 305 rush yards on the ground . It's even worse that it's rush yards because it means Keenum is off the feild for longer . If it was straight up passing he would have had a better chance .

If we are punishing him for losing to UTEP we better be giving him LOTS of credit for going into Okie st and leading his team to victory .

I am always a little "wary" of QBs like this also because of the fact that TT did it multiple times with little known QBs but if we are talking pure stats nobody is in Keenums league this year .

WTF gives? Are people still butthurt about Andre Ware being an epic failure?

This is the O'Brien, not the Heisman. Who really cares about the system? And stop acting like Colt McCoy isn't also in a QB friendly offense.

When Brennan, Symons, and Harrell were putting up those kinds of numbers, there were QB's from power conference teams (I.E. top 5-10 teams) putting up numbers just as good... BJ Symons had to go up against Jason White putting up big-time numbers, Brennan had to go up against Tebow who was putting up big numbers, and Harrell went up against Sam Bradford who re-wrote record books last year.
