As Lions fans continue to ponder the possibilities regarding the uniform changes that their team will make in 2009 (it’s not as if it makes any sense for them to focus instead on whether the team will be any good), Philip Zaroo of Mlive.com has received from a reader evidence of the team’s new logo.

The image of the new logo appears at NFLShop.com, via a page that displays a $16.99 mini-tractor-trailer devoted to the Lions.

And it bears the new logo, along with the new design of the “Lions” name.

So yeah, i've seen tons of speculated logos and jerseys, i'm glad they didn't change the logo too much, i personally think it's stupid adding a couple lines to it, but whatever.
 
So they added some white lines to the inside of the silhouette, not that major, which is good. Unis might still go overboard and suck though.
 
well as a lions fan i think most of us were expecting drastic changes. Which was probably born out of the statement from tom lewand which he compared it to a "Rorschach test". He and the lions did what it seems they aimed to do and make it more defined. I'm not disappointed with the change but im not excited about it. Content with it.

That's what i'm afraid of, i don't want the jerseys to be so crazy, something so overdone that the league is just like...wtf?

If they did little changes, like what they did with the logo, it should be fine.
 
Yea, I was expecting something bigger, and at first I was like what the hell, just a few lines? Well after looking at it harder, at least now it looks more like a Lion as you can see both front legs of the Lion...and it doesn't look like it has a big ass nose or something. So I'm content with it.
 
I like it a lot more, but hopefully they realize that adding a couple of lines doesnt equal winning a game. Still, i like the change and think they made a good choice.
 
i like the changes too, nothing major but its noticeable. I like their colors maybe their trying to be like the Rays?

I've heard a few insiders with the logo saying that these are legit logos and uniforms.

FWIW, it's already been debunked by a poster at a prominent uniforms site I frequent (chris creamer's logo society). It was also pulled from the site by Chris Creamer himself, which could also mean it is in fact the legit unis, since he doesn't let leaks fly. So either way, the unis were gonna get removed, but I'll hold off until I see something official.

I hope this isn't what they really go with because all they did was update the stripes a bit and then let the Eagles numbers fuck the Jags numbers and squirt out a baby on their jersey.
