I'm real interested in reading some opinions about Live. 2k10 is good this year but that's about it. I played the Live demo and thought is was nice and was glad to see EA step their game up. I was a live fan boy from 04-06 but when they went next gen, the quality of the series dropped off.

Ball Handling is fuckin smooth. Attacking the basket is fun as hell. Especially if you know what you're doing. I got torched by the Pacers and Danny Granger. Play the game on 10 or 12 min quarters. Otherwise you wont get an authentic experience.

My cousin got this and 2k, and says Live is much better this year. I'm heading to his house tomorrow to try it out.

Just played against Sacramento and had the most one sided refs ever. We lost because the other team shot 20 FT's to our 8. :smh: 89-82 final.

Game is so much fun. Wish there were more camera options, just the broadcast, press box, and baseline high/low.

I have it. Been enjoying it so far. Better then the demo. The demo is like 2% of the full game. If anyone has any questions about any players or how they shoot i'll anwser.

One feature I love, from a stand still dribble, you mash turbo, he crosses and attempts to blow by. Great addition.

Absolute dribbling, meh, up for this move, down for that move, left-right hezo cross down retreat dribble. Not much of a learning curve.

Shooting has improved.

Very excellent collision detection. Guards was able to dig on post shots and tap them as they go up resulting in blocks or out of bounds.

Direct switch is awkward after playing 2k for long. I also dont know how to play lock on D, if there is any.

Rebounding isn't that good but rim interaction while dunking is great.

Nets are meh also.

This game has improved. If I had to only play this game, I wouldnt be mad.

Played the game today for about 45 minutes

I feel 2k10 is the better game this year, but the direction Live is going is quite promising, in a year, maybe two, I feel live could be back on top on the basketball gaming world

No lock on D. Although you can hit RB(or R1? on ps3) and it puts you in proper position.

The ball handling isn't as deep or sophisticated as Isomotion in 2K. But I prefer the right thumbstick control for it. It feels so much better IMO.

Dunking is VERY exhilarating. Especially when its with a hard dunker like Bron or Iguodala and they pull that rim down.

I've played 4 games so far. 2 offline and 2 online. The 2 offline games were both great games. I'm really like the gameplay this year. The game does feels better than the demo like people have been saying.


Likes:
-I love the menu's like always. EA always does a good a job in that department.
-I love the fact that it feels like I have total control of my player.
-Dribbling is easy and fun
-The defense seems alot more crisp in the retail version (Offline)
-To change the atmosphere on Play Now game is a great edition. You can definitely tell the difference between a normal game and a Finals game. The crowd sounds amazing as well as every thing else.
-I'm loving the mid range game
-I'm enjoying playing Zone D. I love how they actually rotate when they're suppose to.
-Mid air collisions are nice, sometimes they shouldn't happen when they do though.

Don't like:

The biggest thing I'm hating right now is online. Not online itself but how you are able to do anything you want on the court. It seems like the defense isn't nearly effective online as it is offline. The first guy I played picked the Celtics and was literally shooting 3's at will. He would also inbound the ball and throw the ball to the opposite side of the court and the intended player would catch it every time! I mean I've seen teams score quick irl but not every other possession. He was also running with Rondo and Garnett trying to strip the ball from me all game long, not enough fouls were called.

The second game was awful. The dude picked the Bulls and was driving and dunking and shooting 3's with Rose all game. I couldn't stop it. Sometimes I would get lucky and block him when he attempted to dunk but it wasn't enough. It seemed like once he got near the paint, it was an automatic dunk. He was also shooting lights out with Rose. Seems like the 3pt slider is raised up to 65 online. The % made is way too high. He finished with 76 points with Rose so that would tell you something, lol.

- On Ball D needs some work. It's really hart to stay in front of someone. I find myself on the side of someone, more than in front.

I played an OTP last night and a guy on my team(playing as Shawn Marion) was dunking and scoring in the paint at will. This DEF needs to be addressed. Its a problem online.

I like the Playoffs presentation, pretty sweet. Gameplay is so boring, if you dont call a play, guys wont move around.

You can swipe all day and would never get a steal, even with the sliders turned all the way up.

And when you turn the sliders all the way down for the CPU, they still play like nothing has changed. Shot % will go down but EA code kicks in and they score, rebound, steal and dunk when they want.

ok...after the achicheezments, I'll never play Live 10 again.

Live Run is a disappointment. You HAVE to have a squad to enter a match. You cant just go into a matchmaking type setuo. OTP sucks, nobody play right.

I haven't heard good things about the Franchise Mode, like the stats being really off especially down the line. Can any of you confirm this?
