Green Bay Packers CB Charles Woodson opened training camp Thursday, July 26, at strong safety in the team's base defense. In the team's oft-used nickel package, Woodson dropped down to cover the slot receiver and FS M.D. Jennings entered the lineup at safety.

Could be interesting. He might have lost a step due to age but at SS/FS that isn't as important as his ball hawking skills which are still at a HOF level.

He was pretty banged up last year, He had a brace on his arm for most of the season.

He's consistently been one of the best tackling DBs in the NFL throughout his career. Not only that but he is great at stripping the ball and timing blitzes.

He will be nice at SS. Dude can still play. Can't believe it's been 10 years since the Raiders got rid of him and thought he was on the decline - L O L.

My bad, he signed with the Packers in 2005. Tuck Rule play was 10 years ago, I will always remember Woodson as a Raider for that play alone, just got the dates mixed up of what I was trying to say.

Not that it makes it any better anyway, been 6-7 years since the Raiders thought he was done.

It's crazy that when I was in highschool all of thought we were Charles Woodson and the dude is still playing at a solid level. For a CB/S that is impressive.

Disagree. Never understood why people wanted that. He is one of the best corners in Bears history, and you would sacrifice him so Jennings/Hayden/Moore and in the past Bowman could be used as corners consistently? Not to mention I trust nobody else to get a decent jam when they do run cover 2.

As far as GB goes. So who are the corners now?
