So... did anyone go see it? I saw it last night and thought it was much better than the first one. It's still a lot of the same (man of the house doesn't believe, Katie's magnificent tits, video camera footage, etc.), but the "scares" were done much better and there were more of them. This movie is basically like a prequel and we get to find out the reason why the demon caused a ruckus in the first one.

I saw it and thought it was just as good as the first. The one good thing about the movie's is they're more a psychological thing, they build up the tension well and create the right event at the right time, so it's kind of hard for them to go wrong. They're both good movies to watch as events and no so much as "films." I also enjoy how they seem to throw possible deeper storylines into, but don't develop them, just to make things slightly more interesting.
 
The scares were awesome. My top 5:

 
1. When she gets dragged not once but twice into the basement. I Almost died.
2. Wen the dad almost gets his neck bitten off and the power goes out.
3. When Katie basically runs at the mom and sucker punches her into the camera.
4. When the kitchen explodes.
5. When the mom screams don't touch him when the daughter tries to grab the baby.

that might be the 1st time I've heard a girl not wanting to see a horror film. They usually eat them up.
 
I don't like horror movies but what would be the scariest way to watch Paranormal Activity? On the bigscreen or late at night by myself?
 
I was making jokes the whole time. What a shitty movie. :smh: I'm actually ashamed to say I wasted money on that.

 
The plot wasn't all that bad, I just wasn't impressed. I hate movies where I'm rooting against the protagonists... And then they had that whole thing about Katie and Chrstie's great-grandmother having sold the soul of their first-born male for wealth, but they didn't really develop it.

Even the Saw movies - which weren't much in the way of plot - at least had that whole weird-ass "torture porn" appeal. Seeing people die different ways and what not.

 
Though, I have to say, while Katie twisting old dude's neck was BA, just force-pushing Christie was kinda weak sauce in my mind.

And then they say the daughter didn't find out until three days later? The fuck? No one reported strange noises coming from the house? No Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons came by and noticed that the door was unlocked and there were dead bodies strewn across the house?

Just not my cup of tea, perhaps. Did love seeing Christie dragged down the stairs. That ish was hilarious. I will tip my hat on the effects. Those were well done. Also loved how matter-of-fact-ly they stated Micah's death. I was so glad that he died in the first one. Fucking Doucher.


 
Also, if you were a demon that wanted to steal a fucking child, why would you make all this unnecessary show of it when you're invisible and you can fucking fly? I mean, I know that part doesn't really matter because it's steeped in mythology and superstition, but still...
 
I honestly thought this movie was great, it had the right camera positions in the right place, it had that kind of effect in wich you really had to pay attention to the little things to begin seeing the intensity start to rise.
 
Such as the cradle and the chandelier in the babys room constantly rocking for no reason, even when the mother is in the room holding the baby.

Also the camera angels had me litterally on the edge of my seat trying to see what was really going on and by the time it had your full attention and you started to really lean in and get fully focused on what is going on, then out of no where something would happen.

 
We never see what happens to the dog but its kind of obvious, nigga got throwwwwn lol.

this part really got to me, from the moment the little girl was home alone with the possesed christie, all the way to the point where the dad is in the room with her sees the scar and tries to touch her, that whole 10 minutes had me on the edge of my seat.
