Pass D?

Danm. I can't stop the pass for shit in this game. Fucking Jay Cutler was passing on me like Peyton Manning! I run a 3-4 and Nickle D all game. Do I need to change my D or, is it just me. I need help!!

i struggle with the pass also, i can stop the run easy but the pass is so hard and when youre in the final two minutes even the worst quaterbacks in the game play like Peyton manning and its too hard to defend

its all about pressure if you just put your d in a base coverage any decent player will pick you apart get some blitz going mix up your coverage get the qb scrambling then the pics will come and pass commit of course

I agree. Put pressure on a QB especially when you know they're going deep and watch the mistakes roll in. I find that for some reason people don't blitz that much. Take the fastest people on your D and blitz them.

You see what happened to Brady last year when he had pressure.

yea i agree about the fast thing, all you need at DE is someone who really fast then you just overload one side and i get heaps of sacks but i think its kinda cheating so i sont do it anymore lol

I don't use DE's to get pressure I use my 3rd and 4th CB's out of the Dime formation. I can't tell you how many games I've won online thank's to my 2 extra DB's.

exactly... Dime Strike 2 deep is an awesome formation... espicially if you drop the DE's into hook zones and play sort of a tampa 2 with the MLB

I use the package "LB Rush". It takes your 2 OLB's and places them as DE's. Then I can blitz my 2 fast inside corners and have my LB's who are playing DE drop back into coverage. It's a perfect switchoff I trade my 2 DE spots who would never get a decent rush for 2 fast DB's that the O-line can't stop. And in place of those DB's I have my 2 best OLB's covering.
I can't tell you how many people have problems with this, I know I've never played you but after seeing what my Defense does to some high lvl players. I would hate to have to go against it, I'm glad I'm one of the few who plays this type of defense, I've never ran into it in a online game. I have a real offense but if I ran into someone who plays Defense like me, I don't know what I'd do.

Wait Wait Wait so if I choose the package called "LB Pass Rush" which obviously the developers put in the game. And then I choose a simple blitz play out of the Dime formation it's cheese?

I suppose you think tosses and sweeps with fast RB's is cheese also?

I have a bunch of different blitzes.

During early downs when my opponent is in their base offense i can get heat with 2 man under. I make defensive tackles blitz, so they are rushing forward, then i take my MLB and go right threw my DTs. He usually comes through free and allows me to stop the run well or get a sack on my opponent before he can get the ball off. Also in the 46 Bear, i pinch my DLine then make them blitz, so they rush forward, and then i can also get a man running free in that formation as well.

I also run a bunch of CB blitzes out of the dime normal. I don't really use LB Pass Rush though unless i use a 3-4 team. I do rotate my defensive lineman though. like with the eagles in 3rd and long i put Chris Clemons at LE and then put Darren Howard and Trevor Laws at DT. Keep Trent Cole at RE. I have pretty good Pass Defense.
