Anything stand out about these important judgments of paper teams (so far)?
 
PFT sucks horribly at putting out football opinions but does a great job at reporting news. Sometimes it gets hard to read there stuff because its always so slanted and opinion driven. That beiing said the Eagles are to high for an 8-8 paper SB team and the Giants should at least be number 2, they have the Patriots number and always have.
 
Hey look another publication putting the Jaguars as the third worst team. The only way we're that bad is if MJD doesn't suit up. If he does Jacksonville is a middle of the pack team unless of course Blaine Faggert pulls a miracle season out of his ass.
 
I get that they are the defending champs, and deservedly so, but even Giants fans will tell you they aren't the third best team in the league this year. Vegas odds are a much better way to judge teams. Per Vegas odds for Superbowl they go like this:

1. Packers
2. Patriots
3. Texans
4. Eagles
5. 49ers
6. Saints
7. Steelers
8. Ravens
9. Giants
10. Bears

I'd move the Bears up higher (they were a great team before they lost their star QB/RB, now they have Marshall) and drop the Steelers. I look at Pittsburgh and while I respect them, I just see a team on the decline.
 
If Pittsburgh has Mike Wallace then they definitely are one of the top teams in the league. They do and have always done an excellent job at replacing the declining and departing players. I'm very intrigued with how Todd Haley's offense will look in Pittsburgh.

I have to say that the Browns should easily be No. 32. in my mind. I definitely think they'll wind up with the #1 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Definitely think the Cards and Seahawks are a little underrated in the op. They had strong finishes last year.

Obviously this shit really doesn't matter but I think the 49ers are my favorite to win it all this season.

Adding Moss, Manningham, Jenkings (who doesn't look good right now but he will help), Kendall Hunter (year under his belt), LaMichael James, Brandon Jacobs, and returning their entire defense is huge.

They've just added a ton of depth on offense and some big play guys, which is exactly what they lacked last season.

Smith and Harbaugh also have another year together. Harbaugh did an amazing job as a rookie head coach, there's no way he didn't learn a lot in his first year. I only expect them to be better.

Out of the AFC, I think it's between the Pats, Ravens, Steelers, and Texans. Not sure who I got right now.

I do think that's a misconception. Mario Williams was out for 11 games last year, and they still thrived. Ryans leadership will be missed, but he was not a solid player last year. I'd expect them, especially in a division with Gabbert, Locker and Luck, to have a great year defensively.

Texans are crazy talented. With Schaub back in the lineup I see them as possible super bowl participants. I'd be good with them at 3. I definitely think they're ahead of the Steelers and Saints.
 
The Texans scare me. I expect the defense to be legit again and if Shaub, Foster and Johnson stay healthy the offense will be great.
