Oh, some background on the argument. I showed him my fantasy team and he said he doesn't think Halak will have a good year. I agree, but I countered saying that Canadiens had a horrible defense except Markov. :facepalm:
 
PK just needs to refine his defense and decision making and he will be considered a great player. He should improve during the regular season.
 
He needs the right defensive partner and the winger on his side of the ice better have defensive skills.
Subban is as exciting as hell to watch - he reminds me of 70s and early 80s hockey - but he makes mistakes on the defensive end.
He should get off to a quick start because Markov is injured and Montreal fans will demand him on the ice a lot.
 
I noticed last year he would sometimes be out of place after getting the puck on the blue line lets say and try to skate in with it. In his own end he was a little shaky getting puck out. I'm sure a bit of that though was being thrown into those playoffs and being tired out.

Pluses though he put on 8 pounds and trains with cammalleri who might be the most in shape guy if not only the canadiens but in the whole league.

I wouldn't be surprised to see 10-15 goals, 40 assists from him this year.
 
Hasn't been great defensively. I was at the Bell Centre when we lost to Tampa Bay and P.K. played horrible on that OT goal.... 82 games though, he will improve.
 
Funny how I just posted in the "Why is VSN to unwelcoming to new people" thread, and then the next post I read is this and I say to myself, "well here is a good example of how it is not us."
 
He needs to mature a bit, but he's got potential to win a Norris one day. Not saying he will, but he has the skillset to put together a Norris worthy season.
